Google Drive integration
Octarca
Octarca is an AI-assisted desktop data workspace for preparing, cleaning, reviewing, and exporting CSV, Excel, project files, and data selected from Google Drive.
Why Octarca connects to Google Drive
Google Drive access is optional. It lets you import a Google Sheet, CSV, or Excel file without downloading it manually first.
After import, the selected file becomes part of your local Octarca Project, where you can inspect, clean, review, and export the result.
How the import works
- 1Octarca opens the official Google Picker in your browser.
- 2You explicitly choose the Google Sheet, CSV, or Excel file you want to import.
- 3Octarca downloads only that selected file into your local Project.
Per-file access and your control
Octarca requests the non-sensitive drive.file scope for this import workflow.
- Google Picker lets you decide which individual file to share with Octarca.
- Octarca can access and download only files you explicitly select.
- It does not create, edit, rename, move, share, or delete files in Google Drive.
- Imported files remain in your local Project by default. If you explicitly ask an AI feature to analyze an imported file, only the content needed for that request may be sent through Octarca's model service to the model provider you selected. Google OAuth credentials are never shared with model providers.
- Octarca does not use or permit Google user data to train generalized or foundation AI/ML models. Its use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- You can disconnect Google Drive at any time in Octarca settings or your Google Account.
